Introduction
Little Acre was established in 1987 and is owned by Mrs Sandra Roberts Wilkinson who runs it with her husband Mr Brian Wilkinson and other experienced and dedicated staff.
As we only have fourteen residents there is a relaxed family atmosphere in the home, and people are able to enjoy life as they choose, while being cared for by staff who know their individual preferences.

All the accommodation is on the ground floor with single bedrooms, mostly with en-suite facilities.  All rooms comply with the Care Quality Commission requirements.

The social life of the home is based around the spacious lounge and separate dining room.

Philosophy of Care
We place the rights of residents at the forefront of our philosophy of care. We seek to promote these rights in all aspects of the environment and the services we provide and to encourage our residents to exercise their rights to the full.
We wish to provide the highest quality of care, and to do this, we give priority to a number of areas relating to the operation of the home and the services we provide.
A full statement of our Philosophy of Care is available on request.

Living at Little Acre
We aim to enable our residents to live as independently and comfortably as possible, so rules and regulations are kept to a minimum.
Visitors are welcome at any time, although we do ask them to let us know if they will be arriving before 9am or after 9pm.
Meals are prepared using fresh ingredients and there is always a choice on the menu. Special diets are catered for and personal preferences taken into account. Residents may choose whether to eat in the dining room or in their own room.
The gardens are very popular with our residents during the summer months. There is access for those in wheelchairs all around the building.
