Run a search on Google or Altavista, and you get hundreds of sites
offering free MIDI files. But when it comes to finding
high-quality files of songs that you looking for the task can be
difficult.
Whilst tools such as MIDI Harvester are useful,
many people prefer browsing the Internet for MIDI files
themselves. So what are the good sites and where is best to start?
We have visited some of the most popular MIDI sites on the Internet,
and reviewed the good and bad aspects of each. We have looked at
how easy the site is to use, the quality of MIDI files found on the
site, and whether the site charges to access these MIDI files etc.
Please choose either the Free MIDI Sites or
The
Professional MIDI Producers, bearing in mind that some of these
commercial MIDI files are now freely available because of piracy.
Alternatively, you could try the Meta-Search engine - www.snuffledog.co.uk
- which uses several MIDI search engines at once, to help you find the
files you're looking for.
